The 50.4 V battery is located under the seat, delivering the necessary power to the direct drive hub-mounted electric motor to give smooth, responsive acceleration.

Stay connected and download the free Yamaha MyRide app to get a range of information about the vehicle. The NEO's also displays incoming call and new message alerts on its LCD instruments. A fully-charged battery gives a range of about 37 km* and can be fully recharged from zero in about 8 h**.

You can also fit an optional second battery to boost the range.

• Removable Yamaha lithium-ion battery: NEO's is supplied with a single high-density 50.4 V / 19.2 Ah lithium-ion battery giving a range of 37 km*. The range can be increased by purchasing an optional second battery. Located beneath the dual seat for easy access, the 8 kg battery is designed to maintain a high level of efficiency for 1,000 cycles / 10,000 km, and charging can be carried out with batteries fitted to the scooter or when removed, using a domestic power point. *Tested in WMTC class 1 in STD mode with the battery fully charged at a temperature of 25ºC.
• Selectable ride modes: NEO's is equipped with two selectable ride modes designed to suit different conditions and individual preferences. STD mode is designed for typical road use and delivers the highest power output, while ECO mode reduces battery consumption, giving a range of 38.5 km*, and you can easily switch between the two modes while riding.
